Just a few things to note during our first full week back:

I sent book orders home in Tuesday folders.  There is a link under "favorite sites" where you can order online, and I have posted my class code there as well!

Next week, 5th grade will be starting their NWEA testing.  Please make sure they get plenty of rest, and are prepared for the test!

Please sign up for FreshSchools - directions are on the website;  monthly newsletters will be sent out via FreshSchools and on the website each month.  This is usually how I contact parents!

Please join the PTA.  It is $10! The form was sent home in Tuesday envelopes.  PTA does so much for our school :)

I am so excited that we are back in school!  I look forward to this year of challenges and growth with all of my kids.  As we begin this year, here are a few things to note:
  • Water bottles are encouraged in my classroom!
  • Students may bring a healthy snack every day.
  • If a student brings an electronic device, they must be turned off during school hours.  The student will be responsible for the device :)

Please remember that this Friday is our Ice Cream Social from 5-7!  I hope to see everyone there!

    About Me.

This will be my 6th year as a teacher, and my second year in the Billings School District.

I grew up in Clancy, MT with my parents and my younger brother.  I went to The University of Montana and received my B.A. in Elementary Education.  After graduating, I spent a year in Seoul, South Korea teaching English.  Next, I moved to Chester, MT and spent two years teaching 5th and 6th grade Math and Science and one year teaching 4th grade.  I just finished my Masters in Middle School Math.

When I'm not teaching, I love to spend time outdoors.  I love hiking, running, playing tennis, or camping.  One of my favorite places to camp at is Yellowstone National Park.  I try to travel there a few times a year.
