Week of March 12th

I can't believe we are halfway through March!

This week in math we are wrapping up addition and subtraction with fractions and moving into multiplication.

In ELA we are reading poems and focusing on the different types of poems.

Finally, in science, students will work to code a computer program that represents have diseases spread. They won't have any instructions, and will be using what they have learned over the year to create this program!

Remember that we have picture day tomorrow! If you are ordering books from the book order, please have those turned in by Monday, March 26th.

About Me.

This will be my 6th year as a teacher, and my second year in the Billings School District.

I grew up in Clancy, MT with my parents and my younger brother. I went to The University of Montana and received my B.A. in Elementary Education. After graduating, I spent a year in Seoul, South Korea teaching English. Next, I moved to Chester, MT and spent two years teaching 5th and 6th grade Math and Science and one year teaching 4th grade. I just finished my Masters in Middle School Math.

When I'm not teaching, I love to spend time outdoors. I love hiking, running, playing tennis, or camping. One of my favorite places to camp at is Yellowstone National Park. I try to travel there a few times a year.
